Accessory of this season!!
They are everywhere … Definitely nothing new but if you want to look cool you have to wear a beanie!!! Do not worry about the rest of your look as long as you were a beanie you are fashionable. All you have to find is the right design, most of the original designs were quite expensive but as they are in sale now you can take advantage of it! My favo is the one of Alexander Wang as shown here! For instance I found these two beanies now in sale https://www.net-a-porter.com/nl/en/product/728787/etoile_isabel_marant/gordon-alpaca-blend-beanie
I hope I gave you some inspiration!
Spotted on runway: kimono’s
The trends for this and coming season are almost always determined on the basis of the catwalk. On the runway I saw a lot of kimono’s. The traditional Japanese garment is one of the biggest trends this summer, largely magnified by festivals. The often thin, airy fabric is comfortable in warmer weather, easy to combine and is laid-back.
There is definitely a glamour to the kimono, a garment with a beautiful Japanese history. Bold, bright robes that looked like they would go just as perfectly over a swim suit as they would with high-waisted denim and a bodysuit. It is a style with volume, drama and sweeping lenghts.
In the summer time you can get your sweaters, jackets and coats redeem perfect for a kimono. Chanel, Pucci and Prada have ensured that you wear the kimono outside the house because the typical Japanese fabric and prints were replaced with updated prints. In the street you see the kimono often printed with a classic pattern of floral motifs on silk. Not everyone will find it easy to combine a kimono but actually it is an item where you can easily wear because you can combine it with every style.
Overhere I opted to combine the kimono of www.ganni.com with a black cropped flared trousers and a laced bodysuit.
How many vegetables a day do you eat?
Do you know that eating vegetables improves your overall health? They say eating enough vegetables reduces amongst others the risk of stroke, cornorary heart disease and bone loss. On top of that most of the vegetables help maintain healthy blood pressure. So maybe one tiny little change in your day can get you on a healthier path.
I know so many people who don’t like vegetables so I told them to make a shake of all various vegetables possible maybe or maybe not in combination with fruits. The funny thing is there are trillion of combinations possible, fresh, spicy, sweet, sour etc .
These homemade shakes are a delicious way to add green vegetables to your menu AND in case you would like to get bikini proof an easy way to lose weight if you replace one meal for a shake.
Have lots of fun and mix and match!
This blue jeans dress from Zara, off shoulder style, short capped sleeve and a statement ruffle trim is the perfect dress for this Spring Summer! I combined it with www.hermes.com scarf and pink www.adidadas.com sneakers.
You can call them ruffles, you can call them rouches, but whatever you do make sure to wear your frills this Spring Summer. The romantic frill embellishment is the star of SS16, from the statement structured pieces to the feminine twist. Zara adds an instant prettiness to this signature denim. Whether it’s a silk top, a decorative collar or you choose to go all out with a full on gown, ruffles are everything and everywhere.. Wear ruffles this SS16 to add delicate details and a healthy dose of drama to your look or wear it more sportive like I did today.
Look of the day!
This amazing one-of-a-kind statement necklace is hot. As from the moment Alfonso Mendoça launched his first collection in 2007, magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Elle, and so on, contributed to the success of this young creative South American by featuring his accessories. I, myself, am also very inspired by all his fashionable creations. All of his pieces are handmade of organic materials, whilst synthesizing ancient old artisanal techniques with modern-day designs. I combined this necklace with an awesome coat of Maliparmi, one of my favorite brands, and a flared jeans. This jacquard dustcoat was made by using fibres of different thickness with a 3D effect, truly amazing. It looks like an ancient Japanese kimono and it easy slips on. It is a very comfortable coat and I know for sure this will be one of my top items for this season!
Both the necklace and the coat are now available at http://www.hoffashion.nl/ a new shop in the center of the Hague. If you think you are a real fashionista you definitely should visit them!
Trend alert the 70’s flared jeans on your ankle !!
Most of the people are almost getting used for long flared jeans but another trend is coming! Flared jeans not longer as your ankle, as seen by models like Romee Strijd. Overhere I combined the jeans with loafers, another trend! Penny loafers – a back to school trend – should be high on your spring shopping list!
Style them with flaredjeans for a casual outfit or with shorts for a more sportive look. A fun fact about penny loafers: Did you know that the shoes got their name when moms in the 1900s needed a foolproof place for their kids to store some extra change for a phone call? And yes, phone calls once cost a penny! The flats come from www.ghbass.com
The knitt comes from Isabel Marant, perfect for rainy days in spring or coldener evenings in summer!
There is nothing as satisfying as finding the perfect seasonal transitional pieces and this red-white striped fashion sweater and traditional trenchcoat of http://marinayachting.it/en/
are just perfect. The fit of the sweater is loose and the coat is nice to wear with the belt. Both making it a perfect look for the beginning of the Spring. I was immediately attracted to both pieces because it both has style, is fashionable and gives you an elegant look. It has somehow the perfect combination of luxury and ease! Spring I am ready for you!
